Inlays & Onlays
Custom-made restorations for damage too extensive for a filling, but not severe enough for a crown.
Inlays and onlays are custom-made dental restorations used to repair teeth that have moderate to severe damage or decay, typically when the damage is too extensive for a traditional filling but not severe enough to warrant a dental crown. Inlays are placed within the cusp tips of the tooth, while onlays cover one or more cusps or the entire biting surface.
These restorations are often made from durable materials like porcelain, ceramic, or composite resin, meticulously crafted to match the natural color and shape of the tooth. Unlike traditional fillings, which are molded directly onto the tooth surface, inlays and onlays are fabricated in a dental laboratory based on impressions taken of the prepared tooth.
Once bonded into place, inlays and onlays provide strength, stability, and protection to the damaged tooth, restoring both its function and aesthetics. At High Cosmetic Dentist, our experienced team specializes in creating high-quality inlays and onlays tailored to each patient's unique needs, ensuring optimal oral health and a beautiful smile.
